Venue Description

Blenheim Palace is the home of the 12th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. This National Treasure houses some of the finest antique collections in Europe and boasts over 300 years of history to discover. Explore this World Heritage Site set in more than 2000 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscaped Parkland and tour the array of Formal Gardens, or take the miniature train to the family-friendly Pleasure Gardens.

Staff

Some staff have disability awareness training and BSL training. We have information in audio and large print. When you arrive please pick up a access map from Flagstaff Kiosk this will assist you with your visit or you can download the map from our website prior to your visit. Please note that some events may effect usual accessibility information please ask a member of staff for guidance. Palace and Private Apartments– Due to the preservation of the collection and heritage rules, the lighting in the Palace can be insufficient in some of the rooms.

Assistance dog exercise facilities

Dogs are welcome in the Park but are not allowed in the Palace, Courtyards, Pleasure Gardens or Formal Gardens (with the exception of assistance dogs). All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times in order to protect a large number of birds, wildlife and livestock in the Park. Our car parks are not covered so dogs should never be left in cars, especially in the summer months. Basic dog facilities can be found outside the East Courtyard Visitor Centre.
