Overview
We visited the country park, along with Holyhead and South Stack. Fair warning, Holyhead town centre has little to offer and lacks dropped kerbs all over the place. By contrast, the country park was really nice, with some beautiful views out to sea and over the breakwater.
Transport & Parking
The road out to the country park is single track with occasional passing places. Fortunately it wasn't busy. We travelled by motorhome and it was a bit tight in places. The car park at the very end is really big and has blue badge spaces.
Access
I used my moutain trike and found most of the walking paths to be perfect. We did the fitness track, which is a small circular trail. Then we tried the cliff path but it was really wet and muddy and my able-bodied husband was struggling so we turned back and went round the pond instead. That was a delightful walk with regular places to stop and watch the ducks and moor hens. There are even designated accessible fishing spots (3 in all).
Toilets
There are accessible toilets but I didn't use them as I have my own in the motorhome.
Staff
There is a large cafe but it was closed. The smaller coffee bar was open when we arrived at about 1pm but closed at 1:30, which seemed a bit daft to us. There were plenty of people around and it was a shame we couldn't get a drink and snack after our walk.
