Calm and spacious place for a relaxing cup of tea! Please note this review is just for the cafe in the courtyard and not the whole of the High Commission with it's myriad of buildings etc!
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
Pretty good! The first thing you have to do is stop at security to hand over your passport and then go through airport style security. This is all on one level. Once in the grounds there is either level access or shallow ramps to access the Cafe - it is a couple of hundred metres from the entrance. You are able to sit outside and arrange the furniture to suit.
Parking & Transport
Good
We arrived by taxi and were dropped off at the front door just a few metres away. There are obvious security precautions which mean that you can't leave unattended vehicles. There were no visible bus stops nearby.
Accessible Toilets
Good
Good sized accessible loo - our host referred to them as "the cleanest public loo in Delhi" and he wasn't wrong!
Staff
Excellent
All staff that we met were helpful - I particularly like the Gurkha's in the security on the gate!
Additional Information
There is also a bar on site called the Green Parrott. There is a step up to it but if you are able to navigate this then they have a great selection of beers and a very friendly barman. We were lucky and taken as guests by a British expat now resident in Delhi. I believe that you have to be taken as a guest to get into the High Commission.
