    Good

We were in Ulverston for the day and wanted somewhere flat to go for a walk. The canal is just over a mile long and has a tarmac path, so we decided to give it a go. It goes from the main road into town, near the retail park, down to Canal Foot Beach, which is really quite peaceful and pretty.

Once on the canal path, it is mostly flat and level. The path does have a camber in places but I managed to wheel along on the top of it so it was okay. The whole place is so peaceful and pretty! We saw lots of birds: heron, coots, swans and cormorants. There were plenty of people walking dogs but no sign of unpicked poo or aggressive dogs. My assistance dog enjoyed her walk very much!

    Accessible facilities: Single-level venue

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle

We parked in the retail outlet car park. I couldn't see any better place to park. However, it is then an uphill walk to the beginning of the canal path.

Accessible facilities: Public or on street parking

    Accessible Toilets

    Bad

I had seen a previous review about there being toilets at both ends. We couldn't find any toilets at all. There is a hotel and restaurant at the beach but it was closed. I had to wait until we got back to the retail park and I used the accessible toilet at Booths.
