This would have been an excellent hotel - do not let my experience put you off. We booked in for a three night stay, but had to leave after one night, which was a real shame as the hotel was wonderful - lovely large room, with a beautiful view. But unfortunately was not fully accessible for me. I had checked in advance that the toilet had grab rails on both sides - it did. But unfortunately when the long movable grab rail was lowered, the larger basin blocked the wheelchair getting close enough to the toilet for me to safely access it. When I finally managed to get on, it was very difficult to get off. Also the bed was about 15-20 cm higher than my wheelchair seat, making it very difficult to use a banana board to get in or out of bed. Both these problems were specific to me now, and may not be a problem for others - and would not have been for me either a few years ago. The onsite restaurant was fully accessible and excellent - we had one meal there and had been looking forward to two more, but were not able to stay. The disabled toilet in the public area was perfect for me. Staff were very friendly and helpful - they understood my problems, but they were not able to do anything about them as they were structural and specific to me. We were not charged for the third night.
