Overview

It is a completely accessible villa. We were on a family holiday and there was plenty of room for everyone. There is everything you could possibly need. It was a true holiday with no stress in the house as everything that was needed for the wheelchair user was available. Carlos was so so helpful and made sure everything was perfect. It is a well used villa. The only thing I would advice is to bring your own games etc

Transport & Parking

We hired a van from handimanic and were met at the airport. Parking at villa is ideal A car is needed as there is no local transport

Toilets

There were 2 wet room ensuites. One was larger to accommodate wheelchair user with a choice of shower chairs.

Staff

As it is a villa this was not relevant to us but it is possible to arrange a local carer while you are there. Carlos was there to welcome us when we arrived and show us around the villa and tell us all about the local area.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

This part of Portugal is beautiful with lots of places to visit and only an hour from Lisbon. But it is not wheelchair friendly particularly Lisbon. We are a determined family and were out everyday sightseeing but it is limited the number of places that are accessible. There seems to be little effort to accommodate wheelchair users and I think we saw 2 other w/c users the whole two weeks we were there. I would still recommend visiting as it is a beautiful place and having the villa to return to was a little oasis.
