Lovely level access garden centre with cafe.

Disabled Access In and Around

It is level access to get into the garden centre as you can see from the image below and it is double automatic doors. Inside some areas are more spacious than others. There are a lot of items on sale and it's difficult to get around to see some of them. I think previously there were steps to get into certain areas of the garden centre but they've put metal ramps down so everywhere is accessible for wheelchair users. The cafe is level access to get in to and we went to sit in their outdoor sheltered area as it was a warm day. As we walked through the inside of the cafe though it looked spacious. Outside the table and chairs I would say were closer together but the staff were very helpful at moving chairs out of the way. The table was at a good height for me sitting in my powerchair and the menu was light to lift to see all the options that were available.

Parking & Transport

There are lots of parking spaces available here and it looked like 4 disabled parking spaces beside the entrance to the venue. The car park ground was smooth to drive on apart from a couple of pot holes I had to dodge. I'm not from this area so I cannot comment on any public transport to get here.

Accessible Toilets

I didn't use the toilets when visiting here so I cannot comment on them but I did see a sign for them in the cafe.

Staff

The staff in the cafe were extremely welcoming and helpful during our visit, making sure we got seated at the best table for my wheelchair and getting some water for my dog.

Additional Information

When we visited it wasn't too busy and with us sitting outside at the cafe I felt safe with Covid around. I didn't notice any hand sanitising stations around but that's not to say they weren't there.
