Overview
Fantastic holiday in a very clean, well organized holiday park. Access is pretty good, we stayed in a standard lodge - as accessible ones were a lot more expensive, so our review may not be typical. Cleaners let us have a look round an accessible one it was beautiful, Please look at the reviews of the other Center Parcs as they are written by people who had an accessible villa.
Transport & Parking
Great for the Accessible villas - you are allowed to leave your car outside in a flat bay that is just for you. Main car park is fairly flat and has a few accessible bays. We struggled dropping off outside our villa as nowhere flat to park and get ramp dismissed.
Access
Pretty good. We had no problems getting in anywhere, though ramps are not always obvious - sometimes it's a bit of a long way round but that's ok. Lots of the forest paths are flat and even and it was lovely to get the kids out in the countryside. Some areas have quite deep wood chip on floor, which is ok if dry but very tricky when wet - was a Shane as this made the maze a bit tricky. Pool access pretty good. Large changing room, though had to squeeze through a couple of tricky doors (or walk round entire changing area) bed, mobile hoist and chair that can go into pool down a ramp. There are some fantastic looking accessible bikes you can hire (please see photo) Several pieces of accessible equipment in play areas (big tyre swing you can lie on, ramps you can push wheelchairs onto one which makes sounds!)
Toilets
Only hoist we found was in pool. Other toilets are the standard ones, nice and clean - but still a case of lying on the floor for us :( many toilets didn't have red cords in them.
Staff
Absolutely fantastic. Very friendly, helpful and kind.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
We had a tour of an accessible villa. Please see review by a family who stayed at Elvedon for more info - I think they are identical villas. It has everything but a hoist (which is really disappointing) We just about got by in a standard villa, but it was tricky with 2 special buggies and lots of equipment - would definitely try to get an accessible one next time. Huge shame there are no hoists here :(
