Overview
We visited Centre Parcs for the first time. Incredibly helpful via phone with my queries pre visit. Accessible accommodation was great. Able to visit all areas of the centre. Wheelchairs available to access the pool and changing facilities (including bed and hoist) were great. Incredibly helpful throughout.
Transport & Parking
Disabled parking available in main car park but because we had accessible accommodation we were able to keep our car parked outside our accommodation for the duration of the stay.
Access
We had a power chair with us which my husband used. We explored most areas without any difficulties at all. There were some steepish hills which would have been tricky in a manual wheelchair (whether self propelled or being pushed) which is worth noting. Our accessible 3 bed lodge had a separate front entrance that opened directly into the accessible bedroom, this was certainly really helpful.
Toilets
All toilets we saw were clean, tidy and with plenty of space. There were also ‘changing places toilets. All were really well signposted
Staff
pre arrival, on arrival and during our stay we couldn’t have asked for more helpful (and knowledgable) staff. I was concerned about taking my husband to the tropical pool so I did a pre visit to check it out. A member of staff took me around the whole area including the changing area and showed me where I could safely store his power chair and showed me their wheelchairs that can be taken into the pool. On arrival with my husband the lifeguard spoke to me and arranged to give me a 5 minute warning before the wave machine started to enable us to safely come out of the pool before it began. Every time I look over at least one of the lifeguards were keeping an eye on us.
