    Not much of a station

    Date of visit: October 2025

I am a disabled person. I have experience of challenges around: a hidden impairment and moving around.

    Poor

Leeds Coach Station is a concourse with several bus stops and shelters, but there is no station building. It is a stop for the local bus services 5, 5A, 5B, 6, 11A and 11. It is a few minutes from the promenade, where you will find attractions like the Coral Island, Blackpool Tower and Madame Tussaud’s and Central Pier.

    Disabled Access In and Around

As a pedestrian, you can enter the coach station either via a pedestrian path from Central Drive close to the corner of New Bonny Street or via Seasider’s Way, which is off Central Drive, roughly opposite Hornby Road. Unfortunately there are no pedestrian crossings and lowered curbs on Central Drive opposite the coach station. Only the right side of Seasider’s Way has a sidewalk. There are lowered curbs with tactile markings and pedestrian crossings in the coach station, going to the middle island from either entrance and crossing over the bus entrance on Seasider’s Way. There are several shelters, each with a bench, some with low armrests, none with backrests. There are no ticket machines, as the tickets are purchased from the bus driver or on the Blackpool Transport app.

Accessible facilities: Single-level venue, Seating at regular intervals, Step-free access to most areas

I travelled to this place by walk or wheel

The concourse is right next to a surface car park and close to a multi-storey car park, both of which have disabled parking and EV charging facilities. The coach station is a 0.2-mile/5-minute walk or wheel from the Tower tram stop, 0.3-mile/6-minute walk or wheel from the Central pier tram stop and 0.8-mile/17-minute walk or wheel from Blackpool North train station.

Accessible facilities: Electric Vehicle Charging, Public or on street parking

    Accessible Toilets

There are paid public toilets next to the concourse. The accessible toilet only accepts coins, the other toilets are through a turnstile.

    Staff

There is no staff stationed here.
