Located in a small car park just off Station Road, this is the closest EV charging spot to Howwood train station. It is handy enough to find, but not the most welcoming setup. There are two standard-width EV bays and they do not offer much for disabled folks, whether driving yourself or being driven.

Disabled Access In and Around

As mentioned, there are two EV charging bays and both are the width of standard parking spaces. This does very little to support anyone using mobility aids. The left bay borders a standard space, which had a camper parked in it during my visit. With the narrow layout, there is a real risk of being boxed in if someone parks too close. The charging unit is raised on a plinth, with bollards in front and the charging ports on either side. The card reader is in the centre, but these protective measures are likely to get in the way of users with mobility aids. There are no alternative formats in use.

There are several additional parking spaces and a single accessible bay with hatched markings on either side. Both EV bays are served by a Type 2, 7 kW charger.
