Excellent
Great atmosphere in Chester Indoor Market. Independent traders and lovely, large food court. Go through the Coach works arcade to get to the market.
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
Good signage, spacious and very flat. Accessible area. Fab toilets. The only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is because it is quite noisy. It’s a bustling market and there was music playing when we visited. This can be too loud for someone with sensory issues who needs a bit of quiet when having something to eat. However, it’s great addition to Chester.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
There are a handful of blue badge spaces in front of the cathedral which is very close to the market but quite often difficult to get a space. Park at Frodsham Street car park, Chester. This is a shopmobilty car park where only blue badge holders can park. 5-10 minute walk from here. It’s Chester so there are a few cobbles here and there but completely doable albeit bumpy at times.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
There is a changing places, a disabled toilet and smaller inclusive cubicle. The baby change area is separate. As well as the standard male and female toilets so the toilet facilities really cater for everyone. You need a radar key for the disabled toilet and changing places but if you have forgotten your key, you can ask for one in the Lockwood and Company bar close to the toilets. We visited the disabled toilet during this visit. Spacious and clean.
