Overview

The sea front is very accessible as is the cable car. City challenging but great toilets if you know where to go.

Transport & Parking

Good public transport links. Local taxis not expensive. We arrived by cruise ship. There are disabled shuttles and the way into town is "walkable " if you have power chair, scooter or someone pushing.

Access

In the old town there is a mix of dropped kerbs and high kerbs. Can mean a circuitous route. Cable car has excellent access and mobility aids go to front of queue.

Toilets

If you know where to go toilets are exceptional. We tried Via shopping centre. The Ritz shopping centre and Christiano Ronaldo's CR7 museum, hotel and restaurant. Lots of circulation space and vanity features at CR7. The door handles are modelled on Ronaldo's outstretched hand and on the wall of the loo there is a poster of his naked torso.
