    Good

One of three Costas I happened to stop in at in Berwick-Upon-Tweed, this one is a little different as it also has a Travelines store inside, selling snacks, headphones, magazine and medicines - a bit of an odd combo is you ask me.. Located on the main concourse at Berwick-upon-Tweed railway station, just inside the entrance. It's a handy spot to grab a coffee or a bite to eat before catching your train.

    Disabled Access In and Around

    Good

There are two entrances to the coffee shop. One is an external entrance with a heavy manual door, while the other is through the station building, which has automatic doors. There is a lowered counter at the till with knee clearance underneath. There are plenty of seats inside, but it can get really busy, both with people sitting in and those grabbing a coffee to go. This may reduce manoeuvrability and mean you need to ask people to move if you're using a mobility aid.

Accessible facilities: Single-level venue, Step-free entrance, Seating at regular intervals

    Parking & Transport

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle

The station car park has five accessible parking spaces, four of which have hatch markings on either side, along with 124 standard parking bays. Free parking is available for Blue Badge holders, although I saw a few people using their badges to park in the standard spaces. There is a drop-off point at the entrance, where I spotted a few taxis. I didn't notice a dedicated accessible taxi rank, but that doesn't mean there isn't one. The station has its own bus stop, served by the 60, 67, 253, 477, X15 and X18 services.

Accessible facilities: Dedicated on-site parking, Drop-off or pick up point

    Accessible Toilets

I didn't spot an accessible toilet inside Costa Coffee, but there are two in the station. One is near the waiting room and the other is on Platform 1. You can read more about both facilities in my Berwick Station review.

    Excellent

The staff were pleasant, particularly when I showed up minutes before closing to grab a few photos for this review.
