Overall Rating

happened to visit this branch twice over two days, mainly because most other places were closed, but also because of the level access. On both occasions, the same lady was working, and she went out of her way to make me feel welcome. There is little I can say about this location compared to other branches. If you're a Costa fan, you will find your favourites and whatever seasonal treat happens to be in stock.

Disabled Access In and Around

This branch has level access from the street through a set of manual doors that open outwards. If you are unable to open the doors, there is a bell on the right-hand side to notify staff, who will come and let you in. Once inside, I found it easy to navigate. The coffee bar is on the left as you enter. It does not have a lowered counter, but the member of staff working on both days brought my drink to me, which was appreciated. The café is spread over three levels, including a basement and a mezzanine area, the stairs to which have handrails. There is a variety of seating throughout, with soft seats and wooden chairs, as well as high and low tables, and four tables on either side of the door. There was enough clearance between seats, which made it easy to move around and exit the venue.

Parking & Transport

Harrogate Bus Station is 50 metres away and serves most of the city's bus routes. All buses are accessible, though they may be challenging for some wheelchair users due to the tight space at the platforms. See my review of Harrogate Bus Station for more details. The closest railway station is Harrogate Railway Station, which is 160 metres away and has both a short-stay and a long-stay car park. There is no parking at this venue, but the Victoria Car Park on the other side of the station offers free parking for Blue Badge holders and has 27 accessible parking spaces.

Helpful and friendly. The lady working on both days seemed to be on a first-name basis with most customers.
