Date of visit: March 2025
I am a disabled person and a carer or friend of a disabled person. I have experience of challenges around: moving around
I use or have experience of: mobility scooter, powerchair, walking aid, wheelchair
Good
The young kids will love this, but it’s not wheelchair friendly at all, even the car park will cause problems if raining. There is a slope up to the entrance to pay, but this is a reasonable cost. Spring 2025 was £12.50 but carers are free, (with proof) and worth the visit. The shop really is not worth bothering with, just plain quite useless items designed just to make money, so missing this will not be a worry. However, the cafe is inside, and although a small selection of food, it looked ok, we enjoyed a very crumbly falling apart scone, tasty enough if you could be bothered to pick up the very dry scone. We were not impressed as you may gather. Our notes in below sections will tell you how difficult we found it for disabled to get around, lots of slopes, and grass verges up to the pens, very tiring for a carer. Over all though, we did enjoy our visit, worth trying it out, and buying a bag of food at entrance was worth while, but watch out for fast stealing reactions of the animals.
Average
Not good, even the car park is only dirt, so will be very muddy after rain. There are a lot of slopes to contend with, tiring on your carer. Mind you, there are no steps to worry about, and you can see most of the animals. Again though, outdoor pens have grass verges to cross to get up close to animals, difficult at the best of times.
Average
A large dirt covered area, will be difficult when raining. Just six disabled spaces up by the shop entrance. There’s a slight slope to get up to the entrance, and very hard work then to get around the park.
Excellent
There is a large and very good disabled toilet right by the entrance, it was clean, well looked after, with pull cord and grab handles.

Not very friendly I,m afraid, it’s a job, and that’s it.
