Overall Rating
Good
This is less of a review of the car park and more about the EV charging facilities. I found these interesting, particularly as I'm constantly annoyed by EV charging infrastructure being inaccessible. Let's have a closer look!
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
The nearby park has well-maintained pathways leading to the car park. Signage is minimal, but I expect drivers wouldn't have much trouble navigating the car park.
Accessible facilities: Single-level venue, Step-free entrance, Seating at regular intervals
Parking & Transport
Good
I travelled to this place by walk or wheel
The car park has roughly 370 parking spaces, including 20 accessible parking spaces, according to the last count I could find. Now, the EV chargers. Although the Type 2 charging speed is a little disappointing at only 7 kW, there is 360-degree access to all four charging units and they're all accessible from a seated height. Cables aren't provided, so that adds a challenge, but the height and placement are great. If we could just get some hatched markings around them, they'd be as close to perfect as a low-wattage charger can be. For what it's worth, this is the Park & Ride, so the slow charging speed isn't as much of an issue if you're leaving your car there while you're off to work. However, it's not ideal for a top-up charge unless you want to spend a few hours in the park. The park is lovely though.
Accessible facilities: Electric vehicle charging, Dedicated on-site parking
Accessible Toilets
The park has accessible toilets and a Changing Places toilet, though you will need a RADAR key.
