Overview

Practically, this cottage (Gairn) had a roll-in shower, a sink that could be height adjusted, a clos-o-mat toilet and plenty of room to move around. The bed has tracking and a positional bed. I asked for a bed lever and it was provided free of charge.The rest of the cottage was easy to move around in with my manual wheelchair. Outside, there's a lovely picnic area where we ate breakfast on a beautiful morning. The gorgeous , peaceful surroundings is nothing but idyllic. The place itself is well positioned to visit Ballater, Braemar and the distillery. When we arrived, any questions are answered by Maggie who is friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Being there with my family, meant that I could enjoy the break as much as they all did

Transport & Parking

Disabled parking within a few metres of the cottages but you can take the car up to the cottage to load and unload

Lots of space, grab rails at the toilet and the shower, a clos-o-mat toilet and a height adjustable sink

Staff

Maggie was very welcoming and any staff that you met were friendly...lovely people
