Venue Description
Crofton Roman Villa House was occupied from about AD 140 to 400 and was at the centre of a farming estate of about 500 acres. The remains of ten rooms can be seen today under a modern cover building. The remains of opus signinum (concrete floors), tessellated (tiled) floors and under-floor heating (hypocaust). Facilities include: guided talks, displays, touch table, activities for children, workshops for schools & societies, holiday activites for children. Open Wednesday, Friday, BHol Monday 10am - 1pm, 2pm - 5pm (last entry 4.30pm). Sundays - 1st in each month 2pm - 5pm (last entry 4.30pm).
Accessibility
There are double doors to the entrance with level access and one slope up to the higher gallery.
Toilets
Toilets are adjacent to the Villa at Crofton Halls. Level access.

Mainly staffed by volunteers.
