Overview

Although i had booked an accessible room this is not step free and is a shower over a lowered bath. the toilet was not raised so i had difficulty using as there was no grab rail to use. my trip was saved by members of staff who went above and beyond to assist me. There is parking directly at the front of the hotel and it’s step free on one level

Transport & Parking

Access

Reception is directly as you walk in on level access. Seating in reception area. I requested an accessible room and was allocated closest possible room. not sure about the induction loop but staff were available to answer any questions. they assisted with carrying my bag from my car, unlocking the door, filling the kettle

Toilets

there was space in the bathroom and grab rails but no right handed rail to assist getting off the loo. it was spotless although i wasn’t able to use the shower as it involves stepping up into a low sided bath. there were handles on the bath but it wasn’t suitable for me.

Staff

Both reception and duty manager Max and Anna went above and beyond to assist me. if i hadn’t received their help i possibly would have got back in my car to continue my journey south.
