Overview

Not sure if that’s what they call them today, but this store owned by Royal Mile Whiskies has a very extensive and informative website and the store is an Aladdin’s cave if you like a wee tipple or two, or three or four. It has a real earthy smell and there are promotional and special offers within the various ranges. The gin I was after was in stock and when I asked for the particular product the accompanying information from the assistant, could not have been better and more helpful. They give a very good reveiw and have what they call staff favourites, so they try and taste then recommend. If they don’t have what you want they will put you in contact with a supplier or get it for you.

Transport & Parking

Excellent bus service within Edinburgh, the city bound stop is next to the entrance, the southbound on the other side - near the crossing. Bus provision is 11, 15, 15 A, 16, 23, 36 and 100, 101 which are borders services. There is considerable parking available, though there are restrictions between 15.45 and 18.00 Monday to Friday.

Small step n entryand exit, wide door, plenty space, all one one level, there is a small island in the Center ofthe shop, wooden floor boarding.

Very aware, helpful, opened the door for me on entry and leaving, knew their product sad their stock.

Although it is a sister company of Royal Mile Whiskies, it is clean, well laid out and presented, if you need something that might be out of reach it’s no problem. Don’t forget to ask more about it if you wish. Having been here many time before, it’s a friendly and welcoming place, the website and stock monitor is a big help.
