Overview
Drogheda station is about a 15 minute level walk from the town centre. It serves the Dublin to Belfast route amongst other services. It has good step free access via a lift.
Transport & Parking
There is a local bus route that stops directly outside of the train station and goes into town.
Access
There are automatic double doors at the entrance to the station. There is a seating area in the ticket hall. There are lifts to take you to the other platforms.
Toilets
There is an accessible toilet in the ticket hall. It has a manual door. It is spacious, clean, tidy and well maintained. There are grab rails with right hand transfer. There is an emergency cord that reaches to the floor. There is also a baby changing drop down facility in the toilet.
Staff
Had a brief interaction with the member of staff at the ticket barriers who told me when I arrived there was a train arriving for Dublin in about 2 minutes and that it was on the platform immediately in front of me.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
This is a small but accessible and staffed train station, operating a good choice of trains routes. Very happily would use it again and recommend. However, I would take the bus into town next time as the suggested 15 minutes is a longer walk for me.
