Dunamaise Arts Centre is a gem in the heart of the Midlands. Located in the centre of Portlaoise, County Laois, it comprises of a state of the art 240 seat theatre, a cinema, gallery, café and workshop spaces. The Dunamaise Arts Centre in Portlaoise, County Laois, plays host to a wide range of national and international performing and visual arts including theatre, music, dance, film, literature, comedy, and pantomime. The centre is also a host venue for workshops and many local groups. As one of the earliest established and most highly regarded professional arts centres in Ireland, Dunamaise Arts Centre is firmly established as a regional keystone of the arts in Ireland. Accessibility

The side entrance of the building is our accessible entrance. Enter through the large gateway to the right of the Courthouse on Main Street. An elevator inside this entrance enables access to Mezzanine Bar, accessible toilet, Gallery & Boardroom. Please ring ahead of the event on 057 86 63355 to pre-book a wheelchair ticket in the auditorium. Let us know of any access requirements and we will do our best to accommodate. Guide Dogs are welcome. Please pre-book so we can assign an aisle seat. We recently undertook training as sighted guides. Please feel comfortable to ask a staff member to assist you. We can facilitate early access to the auditorium before the main audience. Please alert staff on arrival and the FoH Manager will arrange this.
