This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Hearing Aid, Walking Aid, Wheelchair, Mobility Scooter
Overview
A summers day visit. Easy parking with direct access to the beach. Cafe and shop and short walk to a Harvester restaurant. Bournemouth pier and town centre also within walking distance. Ideal for wheelchair users.
Transport & Parking
The access road to the beach forms the car park, with a few disabled bays close to the beach. Also some EV charging points. Free disabled parking for tax exempt vehicles pre-registeted with Bournemouth Council. A word of warning - the access road is on a hill but if all disabled bays are taken and the driver is able-bodied there is a drop off point by the beach where passengers can be dropped off and the car parked up the hill.
Access
Easy access from the car to the beach with no steps. A wide level promenade ideal for wheelchairs. Room to sit on the prom if actually going onto the beach is not possible.
Toilets
One wheel chair accessible toilet which requires a RADAR key. Clean and room for a carer. Baby changing facility
