Overview

I use this tweet as we find Easyjet out first port of call when booking any flight. Bookings made so easy @easyJet with the #app. One phone call to 08009981130 giving information for a #wheelchair. All is needed is Battery Type Height Length Make & Model Weight Width and then most importantly requesting @Eagle2Lifter As a #WCHC great support and service. I have also laminated an A3 sheet which is attached to my air safe key and gives instructions on everything to do with my wheelchair.

Access

Because of my size and weight I only book 1E. I have sat in 2E on the A319 and 3E on an A320 the 319 is fractional smaller between the seats over the 320 in such my two knees wouldn't go behind the seat in front. I am 1.88 tall so worth thinking about this if you are the same size or over.

Toilets

As a WCHC I got to prepare myself for a flight as I need hoisting for the toilet. If my urine bag gets full my wife discreetly empty's it.

Staff

I have never had a member of the cabin crew that wasn't anything but very helpful. As a disabled person you are the last passenger to leave the aircraft and the flight crew normally come out and say hello.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

My wife takes the electric legs off the wheelchair with the head rest and my cushion, I sit on my cushion and the rest goes in the over head lockers. By removing the head rest the wheelchair goes into the hold easier and removing the legs is safer as they are easily damaged. There's a new Eagle 4A Lifter which was designed from measurements taken from the Airbus 319/320.
