Edinburgh zoo has some very steep paths. I use a powerchair and my chair was able to manage ok although it was a bit heavy on the battery. There are some pavements that don't have many dropped kerbs. The weather could have been better, but that's Scotland for you!🤣 I hadn't been to the zoo for many years and I was quite sad that there appeared to be only 1 or 2 of some of the animals. I remember the monkey enclosure teeming with dozens of monkeys and it just wasn't, in fact in the Bodonga Trail they have a VR set-up where you can visualise yourself in one of 3 different habitats, and I thought that at some point in the future that's the only way you'll see some animals. The view of Edinburgh looking toward the Pentland Hills is spectacular from the top of the hill. Access is good but I think I would use the accessible transport to the top of the hill and work my way down next time. The highlight of my visit was seeing two new baby penguins. I would definitely recommend a visit but bear the hill in mind.
