Lovely place but the natural beauty of it means it's difficult to access

Transport & Parking

Disabled parking was available but you still had to pay. The app to pay was a struggle to get working for both us and our non-disabled parking car and we ended up paying different prices because of the hassle of it. If you pay in the cafe, you get refunded if you eat there, but it works out cheaper paying in the cafe than doing it via the app even if you don't eat. There were electric charging points

Access

The cafe and the immediate area outside was all level access and smooth paving. The salt bar had a gravel base which my scooter couldn't manage. The path to the falls themselves is a narrow dirt path and very steep and my scooter didn't manage it very well at all and I needed help from my dad to push on some areas. I wouldn't have been able to walk down or up it with my crutches because of the steepness. The falls themselves had steep steps down to them too and there was a viewing platform and bench there. We saw a lot of salmon leaping and it was well worth the effort to get down there but you need to be ambulatory and able to manage steeps steps at the bottom to be able to access the viewing platform- I needed both my crutches and my scooter to access it. We did the walk and play trail in the woods opposite and my scooter managed all of those paths fine but they still had some steep places. Cafe had a small menu but was really good at catering for different dietary needs. It was dog friendly and had takeaway options. There was a picnic area and an outdoor play park

Toilets

Toilets were clean and tidy and had a bit of space for manoeuvring in the accessible toilet but I didn't try to take my scooter in there. You could only use them if you were purchasing something from the cafe.

Staff

Really friendly and helpful staff. Really accommodating.
