Excellent
Very helpful staff both on the station platform and in the booking office. Advance booking is advisable, third class seats cannot be booked but tickets can be booked in advance at the station or online. First class seats can be booked in advance, the Observation Carriage is very popular. It is helpful to let the railway know when you are travelling if you are a wheelchair user. There is a step or a ramp to enable wheelchairs to access the carriage, just ask the helpful staff on the platform.

There are three disabled spaces outside the front entrance, otherwise there's parking in the council car park nearby with plenty of blue badge spaces. There's a mainline station in Porthmadog with connections to other parts of the UK.
Accessible Toilets

There's an accessible toilet at the end of the platform.
Staff
Excellent
The station staff were all very helpful, the staff in the booking office particularly so.
Additional Information
It was a very enjoyable experience, the views from the train are very good particularly from the Observation Carriage.
