    Forest Holidays Forest of Dean

    Coleford

so disappointing in so many ways

    1.5

    Date of visit: October 2022

I am a carer or friend of a disabled person. I have experience of challenges around: dexterity or coordination, moving around, speaking or communicating and understanding.

We were happy on our walks - only the cabin fell short of expectations!

    Poor

    - alarms went off in the middle of the night, you couldn't get a wheelchair under the kitchen table nor into the smaller bedroom, it was bleak and dark, sofa too big and slippery to sit on, teeny tiny bathroom wash hand basin and one loo for four of us , bathroom door opened across corridor so difficult to get person from there to bedroom, no working tin opener and generally mean provision for holiday makers - and most strangely, emails of complaint sent to four different people, including HQ, yielded NO RESPONSE. I guess they have become too big an organisation, and couldn't give a hoot about disabled access. Having said that, the one star is for the lovely forest itself which had good paths.
