Overall Rating
Good
The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is a stunning historic shopping arcade in the heart of Milan, with a glass-domed roof, beautiful architecture and a mix of designer shops, cafés and restaurants - most of which I couldn't afford to enjoy, but I wasn't here for the shops. I was here to take part in the tourist tradition of spinning 3 times on the bull's unmentionables. I wonder if I might be one of the first people to do it using a Triride? It's right beside the Duomo, making it an easy stop while exploring the city.
Disabled Access In and Around
Average
I've rated access as average, but I should point out that I didn't explore much of the building, as the crowds were a bit too much for me. There were no doors at the entrance, and the tiled floor was smooth to cross. I didn't spot any Braille or hearing loops, but I may have missed these during my visit.
Parking & Transport
Good
I travelled to this place by walk or wheel
There's a super handy Metro stop at Duomo, which puts you right beside the Galleria. It's also wheelchair accessible, which is a win! Just make sure to request assistance at the station, as the trains have a lip at the doors, which isn't ideal for heavy chairs or wheelchairs with anti-tips.
Accessible Toilets
Public restrooms with accessible stalls are available in the basement level of the Galleria but I didn't use them, so I can't rate them.
