Invited to a birthday lunch there (paying for our own). We were accommodated in a shed-like annex to the cafe. The staff were unsure who had ordered what. A couple near us ordered soup with a cheese scone, and the cheese scones came well ahead of the soup. I'd also ordered a cheese scone, and asked for extra cheese, which came grated, and was impossible to eat alongside the scone. The staff seemed very inexperienced. Would have liked to look round the food shop and the gift shop, but there wasn't room to get my walker in any of them. Very disappointing. Lack of thought made it hard to access as there were no steps to worry about.

All level access, but aisles far too narrow to use wheelchair or walker. No seating in the shops, just in the cafe. This place could easily made fully accessible if there was a will to do it.

Decent car park More disabled spaces needed though. Going in a car would be the only option as it is quite rural.
Accessible Toilets

The toilet when I reached it was fine. However, they don't seem to realise that having an accessible toilet isn't enough: there has to be a clear accessible route through to it. There wasn't. Thoughtlessly placed stacks of boxes and other stuff meant I had to ask two lots of diners to move to let me past, then repeat the whole process on my way back. This was very embarrassing for me and must have been very annoying for them. My husband had to take me and assist, whereas had there been an accessible route, I could have gone on my own. Again, a bit of thought could have made this much better. No changing places toilet. And the only toilet was the accessible one, which could have led to queuing.

Nice enough but clueless. Got orders mixed up. Some orders very slow to come.
