This was my first experience of getting off the Metro during our trip to Milan, and we had some issues. We got off at this stop because it was listed as wheelchair accessible, which it is, but only when the lift works!
Disabled Access In and Around

We boarded the Metro at Assago without assistance, as we couldn't find anyone. This was fine, as I was able to bump up over the lip onto the train. As the journey continued, we decided to hop off at Gioia rather than Centrale FS, as we reasoned it would be quieter and we might get to see another part of the city. This was a mistake. I bumped down onto the platform and we made our way to the exit. The way out was upstairs or via the platform lift. I knew that some older stations didn't have lifts, so I was fine with this, but I had to press a button to speak to someone. I pressed the button and, when the operator answered in Italian, I used Google Translate to explain that I needed to use the ramp. He replied in Italian, and I wasn't prepared for that! He then said, "You cannot use the lift. Broken." I replied, "Centrale?" He answered, "Yes." We tried to board the next train, but a large bike in the accessible carriage blocked the way. We waited for the next train and, while we waited, a member of the assistance team showed up. He rather bluntly asked, "Why are you here?" I explained, and he told us to follow him. He then took us down the platform, fetched a ramp and got us on the next train. He also radioed ahead, meaning someone was waiting for us at Centrale FS. There is overhead signage and audio announcements. There is tactile paving and yellow lines marking the platform edge. The platform lift could accommodate a powerchair, if it was working. The stairs have green handrails on the left, right and in the centre, with a landing partway up and a cycle ramp on the left.

Parking & Transport
Average
I travelled to this place by train
I can't say what the parking options above ground are like because I couldn't get out of the station. But it is a Metro station, so well connected to other parts of the city,
Accessible Toilets
There are no toilets at this venue.
Staff
Good
The staff member came across as rather blunt, but I think this was more about being direct than intentionally rude. He made sure we boarded safely, telling people to move so we could get on, and radioed ahead to our next stop.
Additional Information
Further research advises that there are accessible ticket gates upstairs in the station.
