It was a lovely day when we visited so we decided to sit outside, plus I had my dog with me. There were lots of benches outside but I was worried I wouldn’t get under the table at the end because there was a bar underneath. My footplates just managed to get over it though and I have included a couple of photos within this review to show what I mean. With it being a warm day the doors were open when we arrived, but if they were closed you have to manually open them, they’re not automatic.

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle
There are two disabled parking spaces outside this venue, one of them is to charge an electric car. It was good to see them adapt a charging cable image into the disabled icon for disabled parking. The pavement was dipped beside the disabled parking spaces to allow level access to the venue and also level access to the electrical charging port for the car. This Greggs is situated at a busy retail park so there is a bus stop where buses from all over Angus stop. I don’t take public transport so I can’t fully comment on what buses exactly, but I do know the 73 bus stops just outside the retail park. The pavements around the retail park leading to Greggs and other shops are smooth to drive on and wide enough for wheelchair users. All crossings have dipped kerbs and tactile surfaces so you know where the crossings are.

Accessible Toilets
Good
There was one toilet within this venue to be used by all customers, but it was an accessible toilet. The door was open so you didn’t need a RADAR key or anything to access it. Inside the toilet it was very spacious and I would say there’s enough space for a wheelchair user to get assistance from someone else. You can only transfer on to the left-hand side of the toilet as it is positioned against the right-hand wall. There are grab rails located at the toilet and sink area. I’d also say the sink is at a good height for wheelchair users. It’s also really good to see two mirrors available in the toilet, one of which is at a good height for a wheelchair user. The emergency red cord was tucked behind a pipe when we visited, but we fixed it and put a Red Cord Card on it so hopefully it’ll fall freely now.
