Clear path to the terminal except for cables

Good

The Southbound Services at Charnock Richard have 2 EV charging terminals with 3 to 4 associated parking bays very close to the entrance of the Welcome Break. Each terminal has two different tethered options and a plug for your own cable. There is a device for contactless card payment a little more than halfway up the front of the terminal. The options are CCS up to 40kW, CHAdeMO up to 50kW and Type 2 22kW.

Disabled Access In and Around

Good

I am giving this charger a lot of credit for having protected space between the parking bays, level access to and no bollards in the front of the terminal. The cables have retractable supports, but unfortunately the longer ones still pool in front of the terminal and thus become a barrier to the otherwise wheelchair-accessible terminal. There are no lowered curbs at the top of the bays, so you will have to go along the street until you are at the front of the services building, which luckily is not too far.
