Overview
We visited whilst on a motorhoming holiday to Somerset. If I'm honest, I'd planned this mostly as a day out for my husband, who loves cars, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that I really enjoyed it too. It is quite expensive to get in (£21.38 at the time of writing) but they allow a carer to go free, so it worked out quite good value.
Transport & Parking
There is blue badge parking near the entrance but I didn't use that. There is a huge car park around the back, with signs for motorhome parking. We easily got parked in there. The car park and all the paths had a very good asphalt surface and plenty of sensibly placed dropped kerbs. The car park is surrounded by grass so it was easy to toilet my assistance dog.
Access
The whole museum is mostly on one level. Everything felt very spacious and clean. It was very easy to get around and to look at the cars and display boards. There was a range of interesting information, as well as hundreds of old cars. There is one small section, which is upstairs but there is a platform lift, which was plenty big enough for me and my assistance dog. The shop iseasily accessible. The cafe is down a ramp.
Toilets
There were several sets of toilets and most had an accessible one. They were all clean and well equipped.
Staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
