We were in the area visiting friends who suggested we all go here for lunch. Our friends have lunch here most Saturdays. Besides having the restaurant they also have take out. Access to the restaurant was up a slop, as we were with our friend she was greeted by her first name and she explained she had brought us for lunch in the restaurant. The young girl found us a nice table with views out to the wash. She moved chairs so it was easier for me to get the wheelchair in. I ordered plaice and chips which came with either salad , mushy peas, or garden peas. My husband and friend both had cod and chips again with the same choice of sides we all choose garden peas. When our meals arrived the fish was so large it only just fitted on the plate ,the chips were so light and crispy. The peas came in mini saucepans which I found really easy to use. We also had a side plate full of tomato, tartar, mayonnaise vinegar, salt and pepper. I must say the meal was fantastic and all the staff were so helpful. The fish and chip shop also own the ice cream parlour next door . We stopped here for our dessert. Again a slop up to the ice cream parlour, plenty of outside seating at both the ice cream parlour and restaurant. The ice cream is made by the owners and had such a large choice of flavours. Although they don’t have a car park, there is parking near by either in the public car parks or on the road. We would certainly visit again when in the area.
Disabled Access In and Around

Access was great straight up a slope, the staff were more than happy to open the other door, only one was unlocked making it easier for my wheelchair . There were no steps at all. Staff were happy to move tables and chairs to accommodate my wheelchair. They also explained that they can cook gluten free as well and asked about any allergies.

No car parking at the restaurant but plenty nearby in the public car parks or on the road.

0Didn’t notice if they had any accessible toilets but assume so as it’s a restaurant.
Staff
Excellent
Our waitress was really helpful and couldn’t do enough to make sure I had everything I needed, and they were more than happy to move things for us.
Additional Information
As in most places these days a hand sanitizer at the entrance , we did notice that as soon as tables etc were vacated these were cleaned with an antiseptic spray.
