Overview

There is a disabled car park but it is hard to push on the shingle. In fact at the edge where it is deeper we got stuck and needed help to move the wheelchair. Staff are helpful but there is a way to go to make this as accessible as they think it is. You cannot get in to the office in a wheelchair. As well as the posts outside, there is a door to pull open and a tiny vestibule inside. Alan had to come out to us outside.

Transport & Parking

You cannot get here by public transport as it is on a country lane. There is a large car park and one nearer the hall of remembrance for disabled users, but it at least needs raking to smooth out the shingle or preferably a paved path or plastic walkway.

Access

There is a ramp to the hall of remembrance but most of the site is rough grass and impossible to access with a wheelchair. The ground is also liberally covered in poo from the Canada Geese!

Toilets

The general toilets are easily accessible but the disabled toilet is in the hall of remembrance and you will need one of the helpful members of staff to open the hall for you. There is no red cord in the toilet, or soap come to that.

Staff

The staff are all very helpful and pleasant but not really aware of the access issues.
