Disabled Access In and Around
Good
It is all level access to enter this venue and throughout. The doors are automatic to allow easy access without needing help from someone to open the door for you, and the doors are wide enough for a wheelchair user to get through them. I'd say they are wide enough for even a double pram to get through them. This is the same for the doors leading out to the garden centre area too. With this store being newly built, they have definitely made sure the aisles are wide enough for customers to go in either direction. I would say there is plenty of space for a wheelchair user to get around the shop but, like every shop the shelves are high. I always have someone with me to get things for me but if you are on your own I say lots of staff members around that I'm sure would help you. With this being a bigger store I did expect there to be more than one wheelchair and pram till point but there wasn't. The one that they did have was spacious though and it was right at the end so I didn't feel like I was in the way of anyone else. There isn't any difference to the height of the till for wheelchair users as it is the same height for everyone else, it's just how wide the space is to get through the till area. If trolleys are tucked right into the end of the tills then there is plenty of room for wheelchair users to exit but when people put their trolleys diagonal it's more difficult. The doors to exit this venue are also automatic.
Accessible facilities: Single-level venue, Step-free entrance
Parking & Transport
Good
I travelled to this place by personal vehicle
There are plenty of disabled parking spaces outside of the venue which is great to see but, I did feel they were on a bit of a slope so when I was coming down my ramp I was wary of tipping and my carer put a little weight on my wheelchair. It is all level access and safe to get from the disabled parking space to the venue entrance. When I visited I didn't really pay attention to any other parking spaces but after speaking to someone else that has visited the venue, they pointed out that there are no parent and child parking spaces which I fear may mean disabled parking may be hard to find because parents will park there instead.
Accessible facilities: Dedicated on-site parking
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
Now weirdly enough, the toilet was the thing I was most excited about when visiting this venue because they have a Changing Places toilet. It was a little difficult to find the toilets in this venue. The door looked more like a staff door and we weren't sure if we were allowed to go through it. I think a 'Toilets' sign needs to be put above the door for more clarification. When we did finally find the Changing Place toilet we had to ask a member of staff to unlock it because you needed a code. I do find this a bit annoying because it’s like asking permission to go to the toilet, but I understand why and it’s to stop vandalism. The Changing Places toilet is fully equipped though with everything that is needed and you can see it in my photos within this review. There’s also standard unisex toilets in this shop too but they are quite narrow to navigate and may be difficult for someone to transfer.

Staff
Excellent
All the staff we met were very friendly and when we were looking for help to access the Changing Places toilet, they were more than helpful and explained why it requires a PIN code to access it.
