Overall Rating
Excellent
This was our second break in this amazing property. The accommodation works well. Not many places that are wheelchair friendly are suitable for powerchairs, however, this is, everything from being level to an outside tap to hose off muddy wheels to good height charging sockets for both chair and mobile phone made the stay enjoyable. Flooring is laminate flooring throughout, except in the spacious bathroom which is special waterproof, non-slip flooring. All internal doors had no thresholds. The toilet requires a transfer to the right. External doors have low-level thresholds. The owners live on the opposite side of the road. Upon arrival you meet them, Andrew & Samantha are so friendly & approachable. I've got nothing to say that could've been better, it was PERFECT!!!
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
Level access throughout the property was made easy with no steps or lifts as it was level both inside and out. There was ample seating inside the property and on the patio. There is also a three-acre paddock adjacent to the property, which makes it ideal for exercising my Assistance dog.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
I traveled in my WAV (wheelchair-accessible vehicle), parking was directly outside, good flat, level drive with lots of space.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
The accessible toilet is next to the accessible bedroom which was very spacious to allow easy manoeuvrability, complete with shower chair/commode. There were numerous grab rails, even a drop-down one next to the loo. The whole place was very clean and tidy. There is ample space for a carer or even two. Getting onto the loo requires a transfer to the right.
Staff
Excellent
The owners, Andrew & Samantha are very welcoming, explaining things and making good recommendations.
