Wonderful old hotel but compromised accessibility because built 150+ years ago

I really wanted to love this hotel If rating hotel for non wheelchair users it would have been 5/5 But accessibility 2/5 So overall I gave it 3/5 We came to San Sebastián last year, loved it , but wrong hotel (up a hill) and booked here this year with high hopes. On sea front, next to the big prom. Have accessible rooms. Wonderful old hotel (mirrors , wooden carpenter made furniture etc, building, service, standards, quality etc) But very poor accessibility for wheelchair users Eg room. Could not get round bed to balcony. Did not see once. Only with someone pushing from back could wheelchair fit down side of bed. Much too tight. Bathroom Could not get up to high sink to brush teeth etc because of bar to hang hand towels Only 1 bar on toilet 1 side. I need 1 on each. But San Sebastián is amazing. Incredibly beautiful, stunning beach and bay, outstanding buildings,food super high quality Accessibility was an afterthought but I guess kind of understandable as building built in 1865 Unacceptable especially given price (not cheap -about £400 a night)
