Good stop on the A9 but visit at a quiet time
Visit date:
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Wheelchair
Overview
Stopped to have a quick lunch, do some shopping and use the accessible toilet. Will use again as a good distance up the A9 and worked well.
Transport & Parking
We went by car. There are several disabled car parking spaces but it's better to go when it's quiet as Bruar can get very busy and the disabled spaces fill up very quickly.
Access
Food shop, restaurant and accessible toilet are all on ground level and spacious enough for a wheelchair. The shops are on different levels but a member of staff will accompany you to a lift if asked.
Toilets
Accessible toilet with other toilets and easy to find. it was quite small but adequate for wheelchair user and carer. It was very clean. Combined with baby changer. It was fine when Bruar was quiet but toilet area would be more congested when busy.
Staff
Most staff were helpful when asked. One lady in the restaurant saw that my husband couldn't push my wheelchair and carry a tray with 2 glasses of water so took our drinks out to us.
Anything else you wish to tell us?
We will visit again because of location. Everything was fine but it was a quiet day. If it had been a busy lunchtime it would have been very difficult to navigate the wheelchair to pick our lunch and get to the checkout.
