We visited at Halloween weekend, so it was amazing to see all the autumn colours at this time of year. This is a really old ruin, so much of the site is quite inaccessible - but you can really get a feel for the castle and what it once was by wandering around the grounds. It's a really atmospheric site.
Disabled Access In and Around
Average
Not fantastic given the age of the building. Much of the inside is stone ruin with steep steps. Outside you can explore the even older site however, and it's possible to get up close and see the lower stone rooms. There is a great visual illustration of what the castle is believed to have once looked like outside.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
Really good! You get to drive through an old gated archway, down a tree lined drive and there are accessible parking bays right outside the ticket office.

Unfortunately these were all out of order.

Lovely lady who gave us our tickets and made conversation.
