Overview
Hurtigruten Coastal Express Cruise without all the fuss and entertainment. 36 stops South - North -South. Talks and daily updates of experiences for the next day. Hurtigruten can organise flights and transfers. ALL crew and staff spoke fluent Norwegian, English, German and French and were extremely helpful. Flights were with KLM and they were exceptionally helpful - as were assistance staff at Schipol, Bergen and Tronheim. Southward journey ended prematurely because of predicted storms. Hurtigruten had alternative plan in place that worked incredibly smoothly. We had an accessible cabin - roomy and well equipped, with an electric hospital type bed and wet room. There two lift to assist getting around on board. Automatic door opening with key card and large button to get out, placed far enough back to allow door to open without obstruction. Exit with a wheelchair was via car deck or superb adaptable motorised “gangplank” All in all an exceptional experience with KLM and Hurtigruten giving outstanding assistance throughout. Exactly what you’d hope for and wish others could duplicate

Hand sanitisers throughout ship I Disabled toilets throughout ship “Smaller” ship with, thankfully, none of the standard cruise ship entertainment or fuss.
