Overview

Went to visit this memorial near Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, easy parking and a tarred path all the way to the memorial. Plenty of space to see all the parts of the memorial. It has a very good view of the place the Iolaire went aground, we were luck & got a beautiful day to visit.

Transport & Parking

Good parking, with plenty of space, don’t think there was designated disabled parking but this was not a problem as plenty of space.

Access

Tarred path all the way to the memorials + room to see them all close up.

No toilet facilities here.

Worth a visit, better to read some history before you go to know what you are looking at although there is a board there that tells you a brief summary of the event.
