    Brilliant food, brilliant access

This is a refreshingly accessible venue. Located in the basement, you enter the building via step and lip-free entrance and go straight ahead to the lift at the back. This takes you down to the restaurant which has two sets of big wide doors although they are not automatic. The floor throughout the venue is smooth and easy to wheel on although if you have a larger electric model you may need to ask a few people to push their chairs in, though you may not. The accessible bathroom which is at the other side of the restaurant from the entrance where the other loos are is spacious and well laid out although this is where they lose half a star for two reasons: the red emergency chord, while unobstructed and hanging down (such a rarity!) doesn't reach the ground!! Secondly, you need to ask staff to unlock the bathroom for you. I understand why places do this - to keep it available for those who really need it. However, it is arguably a problem to have to find and ask staff to use the loo. That being said, the night I went staff were very attentive and helpful and easy to find/approach. This is a divided issue I suppose. The bathroom was also very clean and tidy. Upon leaving there is a slight lip on the first door that I didn't notice on the way in but it wasn't a problem when self propelling. The food and drinks were incredible, with a key in the menu for allergies and intolerances, good alcohol-free options and good vegan options too all clearly marked. The staff were fab as well, very attentive. It was very loud but not a problem with my loop defenders in. It is also dimly lit which was great for my light sensitivity but perhaps difficult for visually impaired folk. Highly recommend :)
