Overall Rating
Good
This is a relatively new second bookshop that has opened fairly close to me. It is a lovely space to browse a wide variety of books. It is directly across the road from the Bonhoga gallery which is a Shetland Arts cafe & arts & crafts building. There is a cafe, shop & often displays of photos, paintings, drawings or other craft work. It is a very popular place to visit but is closed at the moment for renovations. It will hopefully open again later in 2026. At the moment they serve tea, coffee & home bakes in the bookshop.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
There is a pavement from the parking area into the shop. The shop is not big but I could manage to move all around it in my wheelchair. The people who work in the shop are very willing to help you look for books or get books from areas you can’t reach.
Accessible facilities: Step-free access to most areas, Seating at regular intervals, Step-free entrance, Single-level venue
