Second trip to this fascinating museum, but it's no longer totally accessible and the cafe has closed

Overall Rating
Good
I love this museum with the lighthouse lenses and the information boards, but the stairlift no longer works and the cafe has closed. The first time we visited, I was more mobile, so didn't use the stairlift, but this time it was a struggle, and there was only a couple of chairs to sit on when you did get upstairs. I could access the ground floor with my small scooter.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
Downstairs, the shop and toilets were fine, but I was told I would need to walk up to the next floor, so I am assuming that the stairlift doesn't work any more. I did manage to get upstairs but I can't stand for any length of time and there were only a couple of chairs to sit on. There was a lot of interesting stuff upstairs, like the model of how they built the Bell Rock Lighthouse, which is worth seeing. There was plenty to keep me occupied on the ground floor, as the information boards are packed with details about the development of the lenses and the building of the lighthouses. Lunch was tricky as they no longer have a cafe, so we had brought sandwiches, but had to sit in the car to eat them as there was nowhere in the museum to sit.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
There is a large car park outside the museum and it was easy to find a disabled parking bay.
Accessible Toilets
0I'm not sure if the toilets were accessible, as in being big enough to take a scooter or wheelchair inside, but they are on the ground floor next to the reception area. The toilets were clean.
Staff
Excellent
The staff were very friendly and helpful but there is not much they can do if the stairlift isn't working.
