It is possible for wheelchair and mobility scooter users to enjoy the scenery and fresh air for at least part of the forest trail here as some of the paths are accessible.

No specific disabled bays at the forest car park area but there is normally enough space. The surface is OK but could be better.

Access

This review is specifically for the path from the forest car park to the pond; as this location is primarily a forest trail for walkers and cyclists only some of it is accessible and anyway there are often steep inclines. The path to the pond area however is mostly flat with only one short section with an incline. This may be a problem for a manual wheelchair user with no assistance. The path surface is generally very good.

If you just want a pleasant pathway alongside the forest leading down to a pond then this is a good option. It is possible with a powered chair to do a circular route although after the pond you are travelling across short grass back to the car park. Perhaps for the more adventurous. If you try this , you could also access the Roman fortlet and the old church ruins too. See the map for details. Total time from car park to pond and back to car park about 30 minutes at a reasonable pace.
