    Overall Rating

    Good

Located within a fenced hotel car park, this station is easy to spot since the parking area is small. The setting is acceptable, the chargers are set at the furthest point of the car park which isn’t ideal. The hotel itself is lovely.

    Disabled Access In and Around

The charging spaces are not designated or marked as accessible bays for disabled drivers and they do not meet PAS 1899 requirements. There are no signs directing drivers to the units from the road, but they are easy to spot once inside the small hotel car park. The unit has protective bollards but they do not obstruct access to the charger. A minimum clearance path of 1200 mm from the charge unit to the vehicle socket point is maintained. The components can be viewed, reached and operated easily, with the bottom of the connector socket sitting between 800 mm and 950 mm and the terminal interface positioned between 800 mm and 1000 mm from the ground.

    Parking & Transport

I travelled to this place by personal vehicle

There are 4 bays in total at this location and 1 was occupied by another vehicle when we arrived. The chargers are run by E-Flux by Road and provide a slower 22 kWh charge. Our battery was at 42% when we arrived and reached 100% over 4 hours and 10 minutes, costing a total of £17.77. We paid online. The setup process was straightforward because the QR code worked quickly to complete the transaction. The interface does not feature alternative language options. This station requires you to use your own cable, connecting it into the socket was easy.

    Accessible facilities: Electric Vehicle Charging

    Accessible Toilets

There are no public facilities right next to the chargers, but the main hotel building has toilets.

    Additional Information

There is no dedicated help point or customer assistance option by the chargers. Our visit took place during night time, overhead lighting is present. No shelter or canopy is provided over the charging bays.
