Early on in our holiday, we started stopping at La Goleta, whether it be for an iced coffee or Ice cream. The location was good, as was access with the wheelchair, although we did have to move some seats about to get in okay.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
This was an open air cafe/ice cream venue. At one end there as flat access and on getting to the other end it was easy to get to some tables and outher by just moving the odd chair.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
We accessed La Goleta as part of our walk to the harbour area although we did see a car park around 200 yard along from it. I did not see any designated disabled parking bays in this one but there were behind the building beside which was a hotel.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
This is one disabled loo that I did use and found it excellent! It was located in the indoor restaurants behind La Goleta and was shared by all there. There was lots of room to get my wheelchair in and transfer, with grab rails (one pull down) on both sides. The loo itself was also raised. I kept hitting the soap dispenser when getting the loo paper but that was just me. I wish the one at my hotel was like this.
Staff
Good
I only score a bit lower as the staff seemed slow on taking an order as well as supplying it. As we only had Iced coffees or ice cream, I thought they could have been a bit quicker. This was the first Iced coffee that was hot!
Additional Information
Sitting at La Gioleta, there was always lots to see going on at the Harbour. A great location for enjoying a drink and wiling away the time.
